CAMPBELL, CA -- Dec 5, 1997 -- Tetradyne Software Inc. today announced the release of the SourceView ActiveX Control Version 1.0. The SourceView ActiveX Control provides developers with a highly customizable syntax-highlighting text editor component. Syntax-highlighting FeaturesThe SourceView ActiveX control can be easily customized for coloring of any language syntax. In most cases, customization can be accomplished by simply setting control properties. For more complex syntax requirements, OLE interface hooks are provided to plug in a parsing implementation developed in any language. Visual BASIC, Delphi, and C++ examples are provided for coloring of C, Pascal, BASIC, and HTML syntax. Customizable DisplayDevelopers using modern development tools such as Microsoft's Visual BASIC 5 and Borland's Delphi 3 can provide margin bitmaps and other custom display elements by implementing OLE interfaces defined by the SourceView ActiveX Control.
