Tetradyne Releases SourceView ActiveX Control

Syntax-highlighting editor component.

CAMPBELL, CA -- Dec 5, 1997 -- Tetradyne Software Inc. today announced the release of the SourceView ActiveX Control Version 1.0. The SourceView ActiveX Control provides developers with a highly customizable syntax-highlighting text editor component.

Syntax-highlighting Features

The SourceView ActiveX control can be easily customized for coloring of any language syntax. In most cases, customization can be accomplished by simply setting control properties. For more complex syntax requirements, OLE interface hooks are provided to plug in a parsing implementation developed in any language. Visual BASIC, Delphi, and C++ examples are provided for coloring of C, Pascal, BASIC, and HTML syntax.

Customizable Display

Developers using modern development tools such as Microsoft's Visual BASIC 5 and Borland's Delphi 3 can provide margin bitmaps and other custom display elements by implementing OLE interfaces defined by the SourceView ActiveX Control. Using these features, developers can display breakpoints, bookmarks, and other custom line attributes.

The SourceView ActiveX control is available direct from Tetradyne Software Inc. or any of its authorized resellers at an MSRP of $299 USD. It can also be ordered and downloaded directly from the Tetradyne web page at http://www.tetradyne.com. The control include a single developer license and provides for unlimited redistribution with applications. Mutli-developer discounts are also available. The SourceView control supports Windows 9x and Windows NT. No additional runtime DLLs are required.
