Tetradyne Releases SourceView ActiveX Control Version 2.1

ELK GROVE, CA -- July 21, 1999 -- Tetradyne Software Inc. today announced the release of the SourceView ActiveX Control Version 2.1. The SourceView ActiveX Control provides developers with a high performance syntax-highlighting text editor component.

New Features

New features in Version 2.1 include drag & drop, column selection, bookmark support, HTML parsing support, splitter panes, and major performance improvements. Version 2.1 also supports Visual BASIC style automatic case conversion for reserved words. Source code for the control is now available.

Syntax-highlighting Features

The SourceView ActiveX control can be easily customized for coloring of any language syntax. In most cases, customization can be accomplished by simply setting control properties. For more complex syntax requirements, COM interface hooks are provided for plugging in custom parsing implementations. Visual BASIC, Visual C++, Delphi, and C++ Builder examples are provided for coloring of C, Pascal, BASIC, and HTML syntax.

The SourceView ActiveX control is available direct from Tetradyne Software Inc. or any of its authorized resellers at an MSRP of $299.00 USD ($499.00 USD including source code). The control includes a single developer license and provides for unlimited redistribution with applications. The SourceView control supports Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.
